Caleidoscope is one of the
most basic spells, and often the first spell a mage learns.
At it's simplest, this
spell is used to make undefined balls of magic lights, visible only
to people with aptitude for magic.
As the aptitude for magic
and experience in using it increases, magic casters can make sharply
defined shapes, give them shifting colors, make them move, make
multiple shapes at once, and even make the light visible those with
no aptitude for magic.
Because of how scalable
the results are, this spell is often used to judge the skill level of
a magic caster.

Effects: Source of light.
Known Users: Serina
This spell create a ball of magic that cast a
strong light, usually pure white in color. The light can be made to
follow a person, or stay fixed in a 3D point. It does not require
focus once weaved but it decays over time. It usually last a few
hours. It's a common spell.

Effects: Share thoughts over a large distance
Known Users: Meridia, Stella
This spell is incredibly useful as it allows to
communicate in real time over large distances. In comparison,
messengers might take days and never arrive.
Weaved by a skilled caster, the spell can
connect any two persons the caster knows. Artifacts exists in pairs
that allow the owner of one share thoughts with the owner of the
other. Doing so, requires far less skills and even lower tier magic
casters can do it.
The spell share only thought on the surface of the mind. Only magic casters with higher aptitude can share memories or deeper thoughts.

Effects: Fire based attack magic.
Known Users: Stella
This spell is one of the most basic attack
spell. The effect is to create a short lived but extremely hot
magical fire that lit everything it touches. The spell is quite
advanced, but tools can be used to allow casters with low aptitude to
weave it. The spell is highly scalable. Small fires can be weaved in
a matter of seconds, while large fires require minutes or even hours
of weaving.

Known Users: Stella, Meridia
The strongest support spell ever developed by
the church of Gloria. The spell create an area around the caster.
Inside that area, everything the caster see as friendly is helped,
everything the caster sees as hostile is hindered. The spell make use
of the air and magic threads to achieve that.
This spell can only be weaved by the most adept
of magic casters, but Meridia was able to embed the spell inside
disposable artifacts that look like wooden spheres. Those artifacts
are extremely valuable, and given in rewards for excellence inside
the church.
<Liara's
Barrier: Prototype #1>

Effects: Defensive barrier. Liara's original spell
Known Users: Liara
The spell is the results of the efforts of
Liara and one of her split personalities, Science Me. They used the
scientific method to analyze magic and this is the first spell they
came up with. Rather than using magic threads to solidify air like
mages do in Arcania, this spell weave the magic threads themselves in
a fabric like sheet and give the threads physical presence. This
spell is anchored to the caster, meaning that the body of the caster
has to shoulder the force of external impacts. Also, the barrier does
not let anything pass, so the caster will be unable to pass through
doors if the barrier is too big.
<Liara's Barrier: Prototype #4>

Effects: Defensive barrier. Liara's original spell
Known Users: Liara
Iterative upgrade over <Liara's Barrier:
Prototype #1>. This barrier is anchored to the floor, meaning
that the floor will bear the force of impacts upon the barrier, but
also that the caster will be unable to move from the spot. This
barrier is also more elastic.
This magic is scalable. A lesser version of it
can be cast during battle with imperfect focus and still resists the
impact of a rock, despite being thin and full of holes. A version
weaved with full focus over a dozen seconds cannot be unravelled by
mid tier Healers of the church of Gloria.
Healing
Magic
Healing magic is a specialized branch of magic.
Unlike other types of magic, Healing magic carries many risks. A
mistake in weaving or weaving too strong a spell will only cause more
damage to the patient. It's so complex that users of it usually focus
only on healing spells their entire lives. Users of healing Magic are
called Healers.

Wounds>

Effects: Close open wounds.
Known Users: Stella, Serina, Bella, Carminia
This is usually the first healing magic an
healer learns. It's effect is simple. It closes wounds. If done
poorly, the spell leaves a scar behind. This spell can be used for
first aid. Closing many wounds, deep wounds and not leaving scarring
behind requires considerable skills.

Effects: Numb the pain and soothe the patient.
Known Users: Carminia
This spell hides the pain from the patient and
forcefully calm them. If this spell fails, it can push the patient in
a sleep that never ends.
<Transfers
Life Force>
Spell
Effects: Transfer blood from donor to the patient.
Known Users: Carminia
This spell performs a blood transfusions. The
spell work by literally moving blood from a wound on the donor to a
wound on the patient. If this spell fails, the patient dies.
It's necessary in case the patient lost too
much blood. Transferring blood will cause death if the blood types
are not compatible, but Healers in Arcania don't know the reason
behind it, and instead believe that in order to work, a transfer of
life force require a deep bond between patient and donor. Like the
one between siblings, parent and child or lovers.

Reveal Gifts>

Effects: General diagnosis and healing.
Known Users: Meridia, Serina, Carminia
This spell has many uses and is the bread and
butter of an healer. It works by injecting a magic thread inside the
body of the patient, then feeling the flow of magic. An experienced
Healer can feel when the flow is wrong, making a diagnosis and can
imagine the flow getting better, healing the patient. The spell is
more effective, the greater the experience and aptitude of the
healer.

Reveal Gifts>
Spell
Effects: General diagnosis and healing. Mapping of Magic channels.
Known Users: Meridia, Carminia
Essentially the same as <Lesser Reveal
Gift> only the spell is performed by highly skilled casters in
a proper environment with assistance from other magic casters, magic
circles and artifacts. This allow the caster to see much finer
details, and thus make a better diagnosis and a more effective
healing.
Another step can be added to the spell, writing
a map of the magic channels of the patient inside a crystal, for
later study.
<Revelation
Omnia>
Spell
Effects: Reveal Gifts spell modified by Meridia
Known Users: Meridia
This spell was a vastly enchanted variation of
<Superior Reveal Gifts> used by Meridia to map Liara's
magic channels. The spell was a failure. Liara's channels were too
small for the spell to see, the crystal was too small to make a full
map, and a magic interference destabilized the spell almost killing
Meridia herself.
The spell had a built-in fail-safe <Revelation
Omnia: Crumble Away> that forcefully broke the spell.
<Miracle>
Spell
Effects: Best healing spell known by the church of Gloria.
Known Users: Carminia
This spell is an enchanted version of <Superior
Reveal Gifts>. It was developed by the Healers of the church
of Gloria over many centuries and used properly allow incredible
feats of medicine to be performed. The name reflect the fact that the
effects are often nothing short of a miracle.
